Intro Lecture to Design Ideas: poster design

For Next Week:

Gather the key information for your production as outlined in the presentation (Title, artist, etc)

Conduct your research to find 12 examples to critique

Finding Visual Inspiration & Influences

One your blog, create a page or a space for Design Research
Find 12 examples of posters that are visually captivating.
Look for a range of examples which demonstrate a creative use of text, images, composition, layout, colour, etc.
Post each example image a give a brief written analysis explaining the strength of the design, why it is effective overall, and what elements you may want to use in your own designs.

** You’ll do this same process for DVD covers as well.

Build your list of design desires to start your own poster

We will use the Abode Suite – i.e., Photoshop to create work
